Updating 3rd Party Apps Using Composer

Hello, we are not new to JAMF, but have never received good training/advice on using this product for 3rd party patching. We are simply trying to update apps like Firefox and Chrome. We have Jamf Pro and Composer. Can someone point me in the right direction? How are we supposed to know which contents to delete before packaging? What permissions do we need to set? When do you build as a PKG vs DMG? If anyone has any advice, youtube videos, article, etc... Id appreciate it! I have reached out to support and been looking around JAMF nation, but cannot find what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance:)

Have a look at AutoPkgr in the first instance.

It's a very useful front end for the tool AutoPkg which downloads PKGs for you that you can upload directly to your DPs via Jamf Admin.

We also rely heavily on Rich Trouton's Simple Package Creator tool which takes whatever app you have installed in /Applications on your test Macs and turns it into a PKG. We're using Composer less and less these days!
