I've got an odd issue that has hit me after the most recent Java update from Apple. I've got some internally hosted webapps that use Java and now need to have a certain Java user setting in order to work consistently (Network settings -> Direction Connection in Java Preferences). I can't seem to find the user pref that holds this setting. I did a Composer snapshot (new+modified) and it identified com.apple.java.javapreferences and com.apple.java.security but these files contain next to nothing
for contents and no mention of network or proxy settings.
I've done a breif Google and listserv search and didn't find anything useful. A quick look in Apple's WGM revealed nothing as well.
I really need this setting pushed out for all my users but I can't find the actual plist that holds this setting for Java-DirectConnect. Anybody have a suggestion? TIA.
