I've been pushing out our VPN settings via a profile only to find out it won't connect. If you manually setup the VPN using the exact same settings, it connects fine. It's only when the settings come from a profile that it will not work. Has anyone else encountered issues like this?

What version of the JSS are we running? Did the VPN profile reach the machine?

@keaton.svoma, the profiles show up on the machine and add the VPN settings - but when you try to connect the VPN it fails.

We're currently experiencing the same issue but as yet haven't found a solution. Would appreciate any ideas.

Hi @sbrage,
Which version of the JSS are we using?
Is the the “Use Hybrid Authentication” checked in the profile, by any chance?
If you haven't already, it may be helpful to reach out to your Technical Account Manager as well, just to cast a wider troubleshooting net.

After working with JAMF support, they have opened a defect with the engineer team. It seems to be a bug in Casper that corrupts the credentials somewhere in between the JSS and the client. For now we just have to manually re-enter the shared secret after the profile pushes to a client machine.
