Anything that you assign or scope the iPad based on serial number will stay the same after a wipe. You will need to unassigned items to the iPad. Go to the management tab in Jamf Pro, you will be able to see everything that is assigned to the device.

@denice.clapper If you haven't restricted the functionality of Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all Content and Settings, then you can use this. Otherwise you may have to use the DFU-Mode and iTunes on a Computer to restore the device to factory settings. However, after the device is connected to a Wi-Fi it will enrol itself again in your MDM and gets all the Profiles and Apps, which are scoped to it.

Are you wanting to wipe and un-manage the iPad with Jamf? Are you wanting to manage it with Apple Configurator?
If yes to both, just search for the serial number in Jamf the click the delete button. Then you can use Apple Configurator.

If the iPad is in DEP and assigned to a pre-stage enrollment, it will be forced back into Jamf during the SetUp Assistant after the wipe.
Are they in DEP? I can provide further instruction if needed.

Are ipads are managed with jamf, when we wipe them to rename to someone else, does that ipad stay in the configurator as originally set or does that get wiped also?
