App Installers Not Showing In the Kiosk When Set to "On Demand Installation"

As the title implies, When setting an app inside of the App Installers to "on-demand installation", I am not seeing them in the JAMF Kiosk on a device. I have a user assigned, and I am seeing other "in house" applications, but App Installers are missing.

If anyone else seeing this?

I have the same problem. Apps under "app installers", in Jamf School, which are added with "on demand" as a distribution method won't show so it's not able to install.

Sorry for reviving a year old thread, it was the only one I could find.

Just saw this. I was having the same problem for a while. After some digging and looking, "App Installers" will show up under the "Discover" section of the Teacher app. I contacted JAMF and my sales rep about this and they explained to me that this is actually intended to function this way. Each app installer needed to be assigned to a device group, and then they will show up for the user. So, it is intended to teach end users two different locations inside the same app to install applications from the Teacher app.

Interesting. So far we've been using the Self Service app exclusively for app distribution but Teacher definitely seems like a better option. Now I just need to figure out why the "Discover" option is missing in Jamf Teacher.

In my deployment, I have the App Installers assigned to device groups, and then those device groups assigned to the client machine. Completely closing the teacher app and re-opening it with the device group applied to the macOS device, "should" get the discover option to show up. LMK if this helps. I tried doing the same as you but unfortunately it's still not working. This screenshot is from a computer that is in a device group where an App Installer has been added. I force quit Teacher and re-opened it as well. (There is a user associated with the computer - I erased the name from the picture.)

Make sure that you have the application assigned to a device group, and set to "On-Demand Installation". Here is a screenshot from my JAMF Instance and how I have mine setup. Hope this helps solve the mystery.
