An opportunity came up with one of our clients and I wanted to share. This is an immediate need for a Mac L3 Engineer for a long term contract opportunity to be based in the Kenilworth-NJ area. This opening does allow for remote flexibility.
Overview:
Client: Global Enterprise in the Pharm domain
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months rolling, extendable with no tenure limit.
Location: Kenilworth-NJ, with some hybrid remote
Need: Mac L3 Support
Details
The Mac Systems Engineer will provide L3 MAC engineering and administration for the Global End User Services Organization. This Engineer must have in-depth knowledge of MAC as a service with the ability to also support a wide variety of associated Tier I applications (MS Office, Adobe, etc.). Experience using the JAMF Casper Suite for MAC OS solutioning is highly preferred, although other MDM solutioning tools (Airwatch, etc.) are considered. Experience supporting an enterprise environment is required.
Certifications and Qualifications
- Strong enterprise-level experience providing administration and engineering support for MAC OS environments
- 3+ year's JAMF Pro (Casper Suite) administrator experience or equivalent MDM
- Prefer Jamf and Apple certifications
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and deploy corporate macOS software packages and standard configurations to Mac laptop and desktop clients.
- Administer Jamf Pro suite and create packages for applications to deploy on systems across the globe
- Evaluate and test new macOS & architect future solutions for deploying Mac configurations to new and existing Macs
- Evaluate security updates and service packs for supported applications and perform necessary QC and certification for installation on all supported Mac clients
- Test, install and update the macOS operating system including proprietary applications, security patches, updates, application drivers and system security tools
