As you probably know, NetInstall Creator was resurrected this week (yay!). I had no issues creating a 10.9.3 NBI with the new release. When I attempted to use it to create a 10.6.8 NBI, however, the resulting image would not boot on any of my machine...

@mcrispin Yes, 5 Mac Minis with SSDs would work almost as well. They would also cost MORE then a Mac Pro. I did do the math, and nobody has suggested a cheaper option to image 200 machines in 8 hours. I am open to suggestions.

@krimkus @jhbush1973 Me either. Tried about 10 times on a 10.9.4 and 10.6.8 machine. Got between .5gb and 5gb before it failed. Hopefully they get it fixed tomorrow.

I have 5 schools, each with about 200 student machines. I would like to spend a day at each building with this setup and reimage everything before the buildings get locked down for the summer. If this works as well as I hope, I would do the same over...

The Kernel cache for both 10.9.3 and 10.6.8 are under 15mb, so that does not seem to be the issue here.
