I am a consultant in Telecoms & IT. I am also a Trustee for a UK registered charity who have a small network of Macs that I have started to look after for them. I am trying to establish some form of control over their system and put in place management capability, so am evaluating Jamf as a potential part of that solution. the charity however has extremely limited budget, so purchasing stuff is currently out of the question unless the charity is able to raise the funding for it.
I am not a Unix or Mac expert, but a strategist, as I usually have other people do the hands-on work for me, as I haven't done any serious programming work for the best part of 20+ years. However, this is forcing me to learn very fast!
