ask because we have been doing this on our Desktop machines for at least
the 4 years I have been here and have not ran into any problems yet.
@johnklimeck We simply move the Users folder to our Data partition and
use a symbolic link. Works like a charm. Obviously, you do not want to
be logged in as one of the users when you do this. It would look
something like this... ditto /Users /Volume...
We have handled this mainly in two ways: 1) Use of a Data partition. It
is not too late to do this depending on your current OS version. You can
do nondestructive partitioning these days in Disk Utility, move your
Users folder, then create a symlink....
