It is possible for MAU to become corrupt. Look in /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0 and see if the .app there can be opened. Throw it away manually if it cannot. The MAU installer from Microsoft will not replace a bad MAU for some reason....

Unfortunately I just tested Ian's script in Sierra and it not only throws a "Can't get end" error, but it also doesn't change Outlook to be the default. So I fear we're again seeking a solution. Thanks if anyone has any ideas or leads.

Is there any way you can relax the requirement to immediately change the password? For example, it could be set to expire after 24 hours instead of on first login.
