When: Monday, October 6 (Day before JNUC Keynote), 7am-7pm Where: Colorado Convention Center 700 14th Street Denver, CO 80202 - Near Registration, 2nd floor How: Assembly line style, “packing with a purpose” provided by the Happy Hope Foundation. About the school: Title 1 school located in Southeast Denver serving nearly 650 students in 6th-8th grade. More than 65% of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch, over 70% identify as a race other than White, 48% are multilingual learners, and 15% have Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Hamilton Middle School has partnered with community organizations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both students and families, in alignment with the school’s vision of serving the Whole Child, Every Child.

Interested in recording a video about the world of STEM? The Minnesota Academy of Science (MAS) is collecting content for STEM enrichment units through our FORSE program (Fostering Opportunities & Relationships in STEM Education). This content will be a tool for educators to expose students to different professions, academic tracks, topics, activities, and research in the world of STEM. This program was launched in response to our FORSE educators asking for informative content to share with their students during distance learning. Our immediate focus is on sharing stories of women and people of color within STEM. Please pass this opportunity onto people in your network that may be a good fit and interested in creating content. The MATTER Career Readiness Institute (MCRI) is the next phase in the MATTER Innovation Hub (MIH) program. Currently in development in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and sponsored by Jamf and Mains’l Services Inc, the MCRI trains graduates of the MIH for remote tech jobs with U.S. or other international companies. Providing meaningful job opportunities while allowing these young people to stay in their own country strengthens the local economy and brings hope to their communities. This year FRC team 8744 will be holding our second annual Leviathans Robotics Rampage! We are looking for any volunteers who may be interested in assisting in any aspect of this event held at Pablo Center in Eau Claire, WI. We will be setting up the field August 15th and the event itself will take place on August 16th. Please complete this form to indicate what areas you would like to volunteer in.
