After our server was updated to 10.31 the unknown keys feature is presenting itself in a number of profiles. At first all unknown keys were "payloadenabled" which per the release notes can be safely removed.However, now a number of the profiles have more keys showing as unknown, and I can't find any documentation on what they are or whether they can be removed or not.All of these profiles are standard Jamf profiles created within JSS.Keys include:1. allowKeyboardActivityContinuation in Mobile Device Restrictions profile2. com.apple.MCX.FileVault2:UseKeychainUserEntersMissingInfo in Computer Security & Privacy profileIs anyone familiar with what these keys do, and if they can be removed without affecting the profile? No changes have been made to these profiles, and they were all created in Jamf. Thank you   

We found a pocket of several hundred Macs in one of the environments we support. We want to get these Macs into JSS so we can get them into a Static Group. Is there a way to import a tab delimited or csv text file that contains only MAC Address, Serial Number and Computer Name? I'm hoping to avoid manually inputting these. Thanks,Don

Upgraded a test machine to Monterey from Big Sur and it wants the user to approve the system extensions for Microsoft Defender and Cisco AMP that were working fine before and approved with Configuration Profiles.For Defender, I've tried unscoping and rescoping the Configuration profile as well as uninstalling and reinstalling DefenderStill trying to understand it but has anyone else hit this issue and found a way through the problem?

Hello World!This issue is kind of weird since it should work, but it doesn't work. We're using JAMF School as our MDM to control circa 230 M1 MacBook Air that have from MacOS 11.3 all through 11.5.1 We have 11.6.1 available for update on some devices and want to force update on every MacBook but, when you are on the device and choose "Install and Restart", it sends the command to the device, it shows the "Success" warning on the top right but nothing happens on the device side.I've noticed this has some random reactions, sometimes it stucks on 13% during download on JAMF side, sometimes it goes smoothly through download but nothing happens on device side and once or twice you could get a prompt on device side asking for admin credentials. Does anyone have this feature working like it should ? Best regards to you all!

Hi!Newbie here so sorry if this has been asked before.We are a Special Needs School and want each class/Department to have a number of iPads that are a shared resource - not 'one each'.  As our students find it hard to log in on devices so we want a simple passcode to open a device then they can use whatever apps are installed.  We want to be able to control what apps etc. are on each iPad (will be specific to a Department) but not to the level of a specific person.Please can someone offers some advice as to how we would set this up.Many thanks.

I'm deploying a new machine for the first time using connect 2.9. Right after DEP installs our configuration profiles and the connect pkg, We get the menu bar app login pop-up. This is before the 365 login presents itself. The popup is not branded and if anything is provided, it fails. However, if you close the popup, the deployment proceeds fine. What setting is controlling this behavior?  

Is there a way to delete multiple policies in Jamf Pro? I'm not seeing an option and search brings up nothing.

I'm starting to test out macOS Monterey, and I just encountered this pop-up warning when running a Self Service policy. I tried clicking the Learn More button, but I was not redirected to a browser to get more info. In the past a similar warning has appeared in preparation for kext and 32-bit deprecation, and it sounds like there's something new on the horizon to be aware of. Anyone testing Monterey encounter this pop-up? 

Hi allWe are getting a lot of failing to download packages with the error "Error: Package was not successfully downloaded. -1200" can anyone shed some light on what this error code means? I'm struggling to find the answer... Thanks

I am testing using local accounts in stead of the mobile/network accounts made when AD bound in our environment as we are looking to use FileVault on the MacBooks. Got everything setup for my test group, FileVault profile all good, everything working well on my two standard users and local admin account. The moment I apply my Login Windows settings from my prod environment, all the standard users fail to authenticate. after un-assigning that I log in as local admin and change the Login prompt settings back to List users and the accounts work fine again.  I am missing something? why would list users vs. name and password text fields  cause this?  thanks in advance for any input. - Jeff P.

It seems that all of our Mac users have had their Office 2019 installs updated to be Office 365 and are no longer working since we have not migrated yet.  Does any one know know why that would have happened?  And does anyone know how I can easily revert them back?

Hello to you all.The cause of this is due to some problems to do OS updates remotely, but firstly I'll give you some context.We have deployed MacBooks Air M1 during last year' summer in our hardware rollout. By the time JAMF School wasn't able to keep the bootstrap token on the server side (it was assigned to a local admin deployed with the MDM configuration) and Big Sur didn't have a stable way to update remotely (this was on Monterey roadmap, and they did solve this part)  so we've waited to the Monterey debut and JAMF School updates.By todays day all of this is working and we are adapting to this changes, and this is what we had to do:--> Check if the only user with a Secure token is the local admin--> Send the Bootstrap token to the server side--> Push the update on JAMF--> Wait until it updates since it runs silently and you only now when it restarts. By now we've managed to successfully update two laptops individually by deploying that script and forcing the

Hello all,Has anyone encountered this issue before?(Apparently I don't have permission to upload images.)So, I'm on site early this morning. I DEP enrolled a fresh Macbook Pro and I noticed our usual force install of basic App Store apps hadn't gone on (Microsoft Office).I checked the device in JAMFcloud and under 'Failed Management Commands' I can see "License not eligible for device assignment".To confirm. I tried downloading VPP apps via our JAMF Self Service app on another Macbook and an alternate MacOS Apple device, and they're all failing.Apple School Manager looks fine. Certificates and tokens are all valid and we've got plenty of licenses provisioned.We renewed our VPP token for good measure, but it's still not budged.JAMF online chat seems to have disappeared... currently 17 minutes on hold to phone support.Anyone seen this before?

Hello, I want to check to see if a configuration profile has come down and been installed before I proceed with a script in self service. I know I can list the configuration profiles using the "profiles" command but I'm not sure how to check if a profile has come down and proceed if it has and wait x amount of time if it hasn't. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I created a policy to update/upgrade the mac from the selfservice. "/Applications/Install\\ macOS\\ Monterey.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --agreetolicense --nointeraction --forcequitapps" Is there a way to show a progress bar when users click on update in the self-service to run the above script?

I'm using AutoPKGR and JSSImporter to upload policies and packges to JAMF Cloud. Everything is good except the packages keep showing "Availability pending" day by day, although the log showed copied to the JAMF CloudI have to manually upload the packages. Is there any way to fix this?

I have a couple of ipads that we inherited through a business we acquired.  I have their IMEI number and Serial but not the physical devices (in hand).  Is there a way to enroll the devices without having the devices?  I looked on Business Manager but didn't see an option.  Looks like Apple Configurator 2 requires the physical connection.  I guess I could add the user as an enrollment admin temporarily but I feel like I'm missing a method.   I could ask for the devices to be shipped to me as well.TIABrandon

Hey Everyone!Currently the macs in my environment have FM Pro v 18.0.3 and I am trying to upgrade them to 19.4.2.I tried deploying the update pkg on my test machine but got an error. I tried the pkg for v 19.1.2 and got the same error again, this one - Installation failed. The installer reported: installer: Package name is FileMaker Pro 19.1.2.219 Updatesinstaller: Installing at base path / installer: The install failed. (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. An error occurred while running scripts from the package “FileMaker Pro 19.1.2.219 Updates 4.pkg”.)Does anyone have any tips or workarounds on how to deploy this? I am using the logic that since this is just an update pkg and not install of the program itself, it will not need the license file packaged.Thanks

@michal_matoga, trying to set up, Cisco Webex meetings Screen Recording for Catalina using PPPC. But when you select, Let standard users approve, it turns on the Big Sur Compatibility button which gives an error as stated on Catalina.Am I missing something?  Can't you use PPPC Utility to create that policy for Catalina?  I'm using 1.4.0, but I have also tried using 1.3.0.Thank you Michal for any assistance that you or anyone can give me.

I'm in the middle of deployment and trying to convert an app into pkg - my code is below but I keep on getting the info screen in Terminal and it's not converting (it has worked in the past) sudo productbuild --component /Applications/Filemaker Pro.app /Users/administrator/Desktop/FMP Update/Filemaker Pro.pkg Can anyone see anything obviously wrong that could cause it not to work?

I am using the Jamf Pro native vault configuration to escrow recovery key to Jamf Cloud after enabling vault. But recently some of machines I am managing showing not encrypted but I did receive the recovery key, while 1 MacBook Pro (M1) will not show "encrypted" and "recovery key" no matter what I tried.
