Is anyone else having an issue today with Jamf not allowing you to upload new packages?  My uploads will just randomly stop uploading after a few seconds.  I've left the page open for long periods of time and it is not completing.  Just wondering if there is something going on behind the scenes.

Hello ,  We have Network Filter App build with support of MAC NetworkExtensions, that shows a pop to allow /don' t allow  content filtering when started.Kindly provide references to configuration profile that jamf support to control these pop up

I have worked my way through this blog post (https://www.jamf.com/blog/reinstall-a-clean-macos-with-one-button/) detailing how to set up a macbook for a one-button clean install. The end results is supposed to be a self-service button that says "Erase & Install" however, for the life of me I cannot find it. Where is this supposed to appear?

Hello guys, we need to push admin privileges automatically for all users on macbook. Perfect would be if any new user who will log in to macbook using active directory credentials will have admin privileges from start. I know about "make me admin" and "privileges" apps, but it does not automatically add it. Thanks

Hi there,I'm trying to create an AppleScript to mount a network home drive for logged in users. Our current Python Script is dead with 12.3.I'd like to map the drive for the current user in the script below. Instead of jane.doe, I tried using $3, $User, ~ and a bunch of brackets. How can I replace jane.doe with the current signed in user? tell application "Finder"open location "smb://example.com/networkshares/Home%20Directories/jane.doe"end tell

My organization do not use prestage enrollment for MacBook, so is there anyway to do remote unlock computer with script? It happened too frequently that users got locked out of their computers, because they do not pay attention if CapLock is on or keyboard is functioning correctly.Any suggestion is highly appreciated!! 😀

Hi, I have 3 Macs in my environment right now. 1 test device, 2 sort-of administration devices. I have all the JAMF running on one of those, but I need to move them to another one. So I installed JAMF Pro, I wanted to run Jamf Admin and after I enter credentials, it runs for some time and then I get an error: What is interesting is that I cannot access Jamfcloud from safari on the same computer. Other computer on the same network have no problem. I tried a different network as well and it didn't work. What can be wrong?

Hi,We need to have a log in jamf showing users change of their password. This is requested for AD mobile accounts and especially for local accounts.Jamf cannot make it natively.Any idea on how to make using script, custom extension or else ?Thanks

Is there a way to allow non-admins to install Monterey Software Updates? I thought this had been fixed in a previous version of Monterey/Big Sur but I can't recall.

Per ABM instruction, we can manually add MacBook to ABM via configurator 2 on iphone, and it should be an enrollment screen at "Select your Country or Region" if you bring the iPhone close to the MacBook. However, I have tried hundreds times and I just could not get to that screen at all... It is a brand new MacBook. This is a very frustrating situation, and I really do not know what to do...😫

HI Guys,   We've been having trouble with our Macs connecting to our home areas, which are on an Active Directory DFS share.   When we try and connect, we get the message the server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time.  Windows machines connecting to the same DFS share have no trouble, and running the command "smbutil dfs " with the relevant share details returns what appears to be a correct list of servers and share names.Doing a google, I found https://community.jamf.com/t5/jamf-pro/issue-connecting-to-dfs-share-with-high-sierra/m-p/188998, but it didn't make any difference, presumably because the servers are already running at least SMB 2 (i think it might be 3).I quickly pinged all the servers listed in the DFS listing, and they all respond.Any ideas of what I can do to at least diagnose the problem, and hopefully solve it?  This problem is happening on fully up to date installs of Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey.

Hi, I am seeing a lot of our systems having the "vpp redownload call timed out <mdmclienterror:72>" error when cliets try to install VPP apps via Self Service on MacOS (most clients are 10.14.2). I have tried clearing the failed commands, reconning, re-enrolling etc with no luck. I am hesitant to revoke all apps as I have seen suggested because I am concerned about the number of people who will experience iTunes notifications about apps not being assigned (the staff at this school are fragile...). Any advice would be appreciated.

Here are the steps I took to package it. I put installer and site token file in var/temp and then dragged the entire folder in to composer. created a package. created a policy with that package and the following command to install the packageusr/sbin/installer -pkg /var/tmp/SentinelAgent_macos_v3_6_1_2964.pkg -target /Applications Result of command:installer: Package name is SentinelOneinstaller: Installing at base path /installer: The install failed. (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. An error occurred while running scripts from the package “SentinelAgent_macos_v3_6_1_2964.pkg”.)I am at a loos, I have been playing with this for a whole day now and none of the commands I put work... ;(

I know this specifically isn't a Jamf Pro question, but I know many of my colleagues on this board are involved with managing computer labs in K-12 and Higher Ed...The 27" iMac was our "go-to" model for our multimedia, design, and photo labs.  After two years of no lab purchases thanks to the pandemic, we're attempting to catch up on refresh and Apple has now discontinued the 27" iMac, though it looks like it's still sale in the Education Institutional Purchase Apple Store.  However, this model is now 2 years old, and, I'm concerned about maximum life out of these systems - we literally run them here until they break or run out of macOS support. So my question out to Jamf Nation is for those that are also 27" iMacs in labs, what are your purchasing decisions going to be for this year, if you have funding?  My predicament:Mac Studio + 27" Studio Display is out of budget scope per units (~$3500 w/AppleCare EDU Pricing)2020 27" iMac still for sale two years old, not customiz

Since Apple announced the REP for the 2012 Macbook Pro Hard drive cable issue, I was looking at replacing this cable on all 600 that we have in stock(then replacing the drives with ssds). My problem is the way they have us enter spreadsheets is insane. After playing around with excel and formatting all my data correctly, it seems their system still doesnt like it. I was hoping someone else may have had experience with this. Gabe ShackneyPrinceton Public Schools

As of this week our MAC estate have started getting the above error on self service launch.Running CheckJSSConnection the connection is available. We have removed the Self Service app and both the public/private key from KeyChain. Reading the com.jamfsoftware.jamf jss_url the server is correct. MAC OS version 12.1 and 12.3 // JamfPro We have a call raised but no response yet. Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

Hello,I have a configuration profile that ensures that Chrome is always on the latest version using  com.google.keystoneand within it the Google Update Policy is set with a Target Version Prefix. At the moment I have to go into this policy and update the Target Version Prefix every time Google release a new major version of Chrome (which feels like every couple of weeks at the moment). Is there a way of setting it so that I don't have to update it every time (maybe leave it blank or set to 1000?)Thanks

Hey All, I'm getting this message and also one that says JamfDaemon need updating.  I've gone through all of my scripts and EAs to see which ones were calling/using Python and all have been resolved, but I'm still seeing this on new Monterey installs.  Any ideas where else I can look?

Hello all I am trying to put in some configs for our servers into the ~/.bash_profile and ~/.zshrc files of users. It will make connecting to our servers a bit easier for non technical folks with the use of aliases. I am writing a bash script that basically checks if the file exists, if it does it appends to the file, it the file doesn't exist it creates it and then adds the code block into the file. However while searching my own mac i do not seem to have the ~/.bash_profile file . Has anyone does something similar using a script and are there anything things to look out for when doing

Hi,  I'm trying to get a refund on the jamf 100 course, which I will repurchase and attempted. I, unfortunately, didn't have a chance to attempt it within 7 days. I've emailed traininghelp@jamf.com per the info page but just seem to get bounce back emails.  Angelo

Hello All, What I did that appears to have broken this one machine:I was using this one student machine to create a new bootable external hard drive to be used in order to restore the ASR image. Naturally, the machine installed MacOS, booted to the external, and then tried to enroll. I thought "No, I don't want to enroll this time" since I was just creating a clean boot image. So I went into the "PreStage Enrollment Config" that this machine was assigned to and uncheck it's serial number. This allowed me to boot the machine a second time and not be grabbed by the PreStage so I could continue to customize my boot image - Good.Once stratified, I used the boot image to restore the ASR image onto the local hard drive and re-checked the machine with it's corresponding PreStage. The Machine booted and did the normal "There is a configuration for this machine" thing and it created the new user and logged into the desktop like normal. However, I noticed that the machine was not completing enrol

Hello everyoneI'm using execute command option in the Files and processes payload of a policy and want to run a small script ( 5 lines), I'm using a simple if statement to check whether a folder exists or not and create it, I'm getting a syntax error on the test client when I run it from Jamf however I tested and it works fine if I run it as a script from terminal so this issue is possibly the way I'm using semicolon, this could be done using script payload but I need to make it work this way.This is working as a script if [ ! -d "Path/to/location" ]thenmkdir Path/to/locationSleep 2touch Path/to/location/hello.plistelsetouch Path/to/location/hello.plistfi This is how I added it to files and processes payloadif [ ! -d "Path/to/location/" ] ; then ; mkdir Path/to/location/ ; sleep 2 ; touch /Path/to/location/hello.plist ; else ; touch Path/to/location/hello.plist ;
