Accounts losing ability to unlock device after password change with Jamf Connect

We've a support case open and I've posted in the Jamf Connect macadmin Slack as well, but has anyone experienced issues with device unlocks no longer working after Jamf Connect password change? We've begun rolling out Jamf Connect and had numerous reports that users will change their password or sync their password with the JC client, and then after a short while will be unable to unlock the device either after screen lock or a cold boot. FV key challenge does work to resolve to get access back to the device and things seem to work after wards as one might expect, though their have been outliers. We had a local password policy in place we had to modify so as to avoid conflicts with the JC, but otherwise I am at a loss as for what could be causing this.
