10.8.4 NetInstall Issues with NBI built on System Image Utility and Casper NetBoot Automator Action

We are imaging 10.8.4 onto new machines via NetInstall and have attempted to use Casper Netboot Automator Action (https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/viewProduct.html?id=140&view=info) with the System Imaging Utility. Our resulting NBI does not have the expected results.

First, when the NBI is booted to, the user is prompt to sign in to an Apple ID (so we hit skip), then when the OS loads, Casper Imaging never opens. What's the deal? Is Casper Netboot Automator Action no longer supported? Is there a new version in the works? Do I have to manually install imaging and manually force it to open? How does one disable the Apple ID prompt?

don't think its supported.. current 'work around' is longwinded IMHO:

It may have worked, but I hadn't used this part of the instructions as I wasn't originally going to use NetBoot - I've also modified the instructions for use with 10.8:
If you plan to create a NetBoot image from your minimal base OS image, consider performing the following tasks:

Enable the root user from Directory Utility. a. Navigate to the Users & Groups & Groups pane in System Preferences. b. Select Login Options in the sidebar. c. If System Preferences does not allow you to make changes, click the lock icon, and then authenticate locally when prompted. d. Click the Join button, and then click the Open Directory Utility button. e. Authenticate from the Search Directory tab. f. From the menu bar in Directory Utility, choose Edit > Enable Root User. g. When prompted, enter a new password for the root user. Enable automatic login for the root user ("System Administrator"): a. Log out, and then log back in as the root user. Or you won't see System Administrator. Note: To log in as the System Administrator/root user, you may have to choose "Other" and manually type "root" as the user. b. Navigate to the Accounts or Users & Groups pane in System Preferences. c. Select Login Options in the sidebar. d. Choose "System Administrator" from the Automatic Login pop-up menu. Change the desktop pattern to something that will indicate when computers are booted to the NetBoot image. You can do this on the Desktop & Screen Saver pane in System Preferences. Name the computer in the Sharing pane in System Preferences. For example, "NetBoot". Copy the latest version of the Casper Imaging application to the Applications folder. Then, open Casper Imaging and enter the hostname/IP address of the JSS. Customize the Dock as needed. You may want to include Casper Imaging and any troubleshooting utilities (e.g. Disk Utility or Terminal). To ensure that Casper Imaging opens automatically, Control-click (or right-click) Casper Imaging in the Dock, and select Open at Login.

you can have a copy of my netboot modifier if you wish, aims to make it much easier to modify a netboot image, all you need to do is create a basic netboot image with apples tool, enable root on it and then use my tool to modify, you can then use the tool to modify and upgrade existing images, email me if youd like a copy,
