2FA on jamf login screen

We have recently enforced OKTA MFA for all our users and experiencing an unexpected behaviour on some of the user’s device. They users are prompted for 2FA on jamf login screen after native login, however we have not enforced any mfa on device level.
Could anyone please assist in understanding why this is happening and any recommendation to avoid such prompts.

Jamf has no control on if Okta requires MFA for the Jamf App integration. I recommend checking your Okta Configuration for Jamf Connects App integration.

To address unexpected MFA prompts in Jamf, review MFA policies, check integrations with other systems, inspect user settings, test network connectivity, and contact Jamf support if needed. Document policies, review user permissions, monitor for anomalies, and provide user training to prevent future issues.
