AD bound forced local homed dock issue

We made an upgrade to 10.8.5, along with a jump to Casper 9.12 over the weekend. After this upgrade I found that our users, that were bound to an AD and were locally homed, all had issues with the "dock shortcut" to their network homeDir.

This shortcut comes about when one joins a computer to an AD, with at least a forced localHome, and is provided by the system. To be clear, while Casper does not provide this, it doesn't mean Capser doesn't screw it up.

My hypothesis is that the problem resides in the "static-others" key and Casper 9.12 malformed it from the 9.10 version.

I have two questions; has anyone else seen this and would you expect to create a new MCX/ConfigProfile that touches a users com.apple.dock to map correctly?

It appears, in limited testing, that once I clear any existing MCX policies, create a new Login Window configuration profile, distribute this out, and a few bonus restarts, I actually get NO network homeDir shortcut.
