AirPlay for Apple TV issues

Hello Everyone,

I have a small issue with setting AirPlay on my Apple TVs. In the configuration profile i am trying to set the ALLOW AIRPLAY, REQUIRE PASSWORD, ALLOW CONTROL USING REMOTE and ALLOW KEYBOARD Cont. each time i check the boxes, i hit save, and...everything is DESELECTED. Happens all the time and i have no idea what is causing it. Can anyone shine some light on this? or should i reach out to the support team?

I just got upgraded to JSS version 10 about 2 days ago, but this is the first time i am setting up Apple TVs.

I also have an update with what i tried. Once i took the RESTRICTIONS payload off, the AirPlay became available. After this, i have reinstated a RESTRICTION payload, with defaults and the ARIPLAY options were turned on. Once i tried to modify them (Under tvOS section of the restriction payload), after clicking SAVE, same thing happened, all checkboxes under tvOS had become unchecked and AIRPLAY is once again not available.

If anyone has suggestions, please let me know, this is driving me nuts haha.

I'm having the same issue. I had to pull my restrictions in order to be able to AirPlay to our TV's.

Well i contacted the Jamf support and they were helpful in a solution. Apparently there is a current porduct issue: PI-004444 and this is what the support specialist suggested:

"Thank you for the information. Now that you explain it further I am reminded of a current product issue; PI-004444 Saving tvOS restrictions profiles saves opposite from selected.

The work around for this is to select the opposite settings that you intend and then it will flip on save, as you were experiencing. I know this may not be ideal. (Jamf Support)

So i tested it out and got it to work. In order to have ALL options selected, meaning a checkmark for ALLOW AIRPLAY, REQUIRE PASSWORD, ALLOW CONTROL USING REMOTE and ALLOW KEYBOARD CONTINUATION you need to go into the payload, go to tvOS section, SELECT everything, and then deselect everything all this WITHOUT SAVING In between. After you did this, you now have 2 empty boxes for Allow AirPLay and Allow Control Using REmote, now CLICK SAVE. Voila, all 4 are now selected.
