Hi Guys,
Is the only way to get a APNS cert for Casper MDM, signing up to the enterprise dev program?
Or with 10.7 can you generate your own?
Regards,
Ben.

Thanks.
Do I need to setup profile manager on the server to generate the cert?
Regards,
Ben.

yes, I had no problem setting that up
I named the OS X Server as I wanted the jss server to be named, then used an Apple ID to create the apns certificate.
Moving that to the JSS was simple, the rest is all Jamf ;-)

Hey Guys,
The APNs Certificate generated by Lion Server is not intended to be used with 3rd party management tools like the Casper Suite.
I recommend joining Apple's iOS Enterprise Developer Program at: http://developer.apple.com/programs/ios/enterprise/

You should be able to generate one with 10.7 server using an Apple ID.

Ben,
Apple is really touchy on the T's & C's with this program. Make sure to check and re-check your application before submitting. Even run it by your Account Exec if you have one before submitting. If it is incorrect in the slightest, it will be rejected and it takes about 2 weeks to get through Apple's process for approval.

Thanks.
We don't have any apple reps.
But it's with my boss & the legal team, so it will take as long as it takes.

Ben.
