Folks, just wanted to let y'all know that the meeting with the Apple security folks went very, very well.
Unfortunately, pretty much everything is under NDA. I'm not even sure if I'm able to say who was there.
However, just trust me.

Nice... however, I'm now left to wonder how the new XProtect works. Looks like I've got a fun morning ahead of me! Thanks again!

Can you give us a timeframe of how long until we see improvements perhaps...generalized? Or is that too much?

dude he just spoke to them, give him some slack!

Apple doesn't publicly talk about unreleased products or future product plans, therefore as I'm under NDA, I won't either.
Sorry.

It's one of those things where the very occurrence of such a meeting bodes well; specific details (shiny as they might be) are almost secondary to the general notion that we see it getting better for us in the future.

You ween't the only folks they met with, just so you know ; ) We had a meeting with the same team as well yesterday. I was not in the entire meeting, but what I was in was good. Apple is making efforts to improve things. Maybe not as fast as we'd like but still...
They had to leave by 10:30 from our offices, to get to their next appointment, which may have been with you! :)

Still this is good news. I hope they are listening to us.
All we are asking for is the tools to manage our systems. Lets hope this really is a step in the right direction.

Yep I know. They've been doing a lot of travel for the last week or so. It is indeed very, very good news that they're even doing this. And they didn't exactly send low-level grunts to hear us either. We had the ear of the people with their finger on the code and that's no small gesture.
