autofill asset tag, ascending numbers

is it possible to have casper assign an asset tag, starting with certain number then going up as they are used?

I don;t know of any way to auto populate those fields thru Casper Suite.
The only possible option that may work is to use the JSS Computer Importer tool in SDK download to pre upload all your Macs info, including the Asset tags you want assigned to them. I think there are issues with this approach though, such as the Macs not being managed by default when done this way.

You can extend the JSS Importer to include management account information that will line up with what your machines get imaged with.

That's good to know. Can you share how that's done when you have a free moment? I would like to know myself in case I ever plan to use it.
