Best way to distribute FCP X when older versions exist?

looking to upgrade FCP X on the machines, and we are finding that if FCP exists already, then the new version won't install. Anybody have an easy way (pre-script?) to install it? We are using the MAS method for capturing the PKG files.

When we were in transition of FCP 7 and FCP X, I put the entire FCP 7 Suite into a folder called FinalCutPro7 while creating the package in Composer, before taking the post snap. The FCP X Apps were all out in the Applications folder, but version 7 was kept in its own folder in Applications. Hope that helps! MM
