I have a test class set-up in the JSS so I can play around with the Casper Focus App before our iPad roll-out. Last Friday I had a class set-up to run in the morning. Today I came to work and didn't think anything about it. I reached for my 3 test iPads this afternoon and 2 of them had the message "Guided Access app unavailable. Please contact your administrator." After looking through the iPad and then the history of each iPad it appears that when I woke my iPads up this afternoon and they connected back to the wifi that the JSS tried to send the 2 profiles Remove App Lock Profile and Install App Lock Profile at the same time from my "class" this morning.
I had to change the class times and let the JSS run its course for Installing and then Removing the App Lock Profile individually. I tried to replicate the process, with different times but no luck. I am going to set it up to run a class in the morning after the iPads have been sitting all night.
I did however, get the error to replicate in a different manner. I focused all 3 iPads to Safari and let the class end. The app popped up the message that class had ended and that I would not be able to focus the iPads for that class. The iPads themselves were no longer focused on Safari and I could move around to other apps. I didn't change anything in the Casper Focus app. When I started the class over with different times it still said "Focused on Safari." When I attempted to remove the focus I received the error message on all 3 iPads. Again in the history it tried to install and remove an app lock profile at the same time.
As anyone else come across these errors? I can see that this might cause a problem for my teachers during class time.
Thanks!!
Leigh

We definitely see these Guided Access App Unavailable errors all the time when our teachers try to use Focus. I have not had time to do as much investigation as you have. We do the same to clear them, create a temp class, enroll the students into that class and focus/unfocus them to clear the error.

I've seen that error in my testing when the app I am trying to put into single app mode is not installed.
I am not yet using Casper Focus - using MDM configurations.
