CCA and CMA

Hello again everyone!

I will be in Minnesota to obtain my CCA and CMA this January and I have a few questions:
1. Is there anything I should focus on before arriving (as far as knowledge) as to not be blindsided when I am there?
2. Will there be bacon?

Thanks in advance!

It's Minnesota, so yes - there will be bacon.

CCA/CMA are not multiple choice tests, they are "read a paragraph and do what it says" kinds of tests. The more practical experience you get in just using Casper for OSX and iOS management the better off you will be. Get a test instance happening and play play play.

CCA
Know where to find things in the JSS.

Know how to use the criteria by which you can create smart groups and scope.

Be comfortable with creating configs in CasperAdmin

CMA
Be comfortable creating .mobileconfig profiles

Using the mobile device app catalogue.

Who is teaching your class?

The only thing I show is emails from Crystal Noonan (events coord). Not sure who is teaching.

Hey Sean,

It looks like Chris Smalstig is slated to teach your class. I'll give him and Crystal a heads up that you are looking for some bacon.

Hi Sean,

Looking forward to seeing you in January! Andy and Michael have great suggestions for preparing for the courses.

We will provide you with Student Workbooks for each course and it may be helpful to familiarize yourself with the Casper Suite Administrator's Guide. Chris will be able to provide as much clarification as necessary so you aren't blindsided ;)

Finally, BACON = YES.

Best,
Crystal

Your going to have a good time. It is one of the most thought out and practical short courses that I've ever taken. All real life, hands on expectations... and I mean it. Hopefully you've already got a JSS up and running. Play with it and remember where things are.

I have been using an active JSS and the entire Casper suite since Aug 2012. I am the one main resource for anything Casper related in our district (which has 21 schools). I feel as if I have a great deal of knowledge gained in just a short amount of time, but I was just trying to make sure I wasn't blindsided with something I have not looked into. :)

Also: YAY BACON!
