I have received a request to change the check-in frequency to once a day and I was wondering if that was even possible. It looks like it can only be set to 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes?

@Sobchak not from the JSS, but you can modify the
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.jamfsoftware.task.1.plist
file to adjust the check-in time. The StartInterval value is what you are looking to modify. The value is in seconds. Edit: There is a label value that you might want to adjust as well so it matches what the actual setting is.

It is not possible and shouldn't be done on a once a day frequency. Check in is a quick "got anything for me?" check so it can run policies if needed.

As others have already hinted at, you may want to go back to whomever requested this change and ask for a clear reason why they feel this needs to be done. Check-ins really don't eat up network bandwidth, if that happens to be the concern. Its almost like pinging a server, or doing a quick curl against a site. I'm willing to bet there are hundreds of other more network intensive operations going on every minute than the JSS check-in would be.
What you should be targeting to change is the execution frequency of some of your policies. If you have any set to Ongoing, you can change them to once every day (or some other recurring timeframe) for example.
