We have around 1k Macs ranging from 10.10 - 10.15 that we would like to
update to the newest possible version. We would like to do this as hands
off as possible. Preferably after hours with no impact to the end-user.
Can we do this with Jamf?
Has anyone deployed this through Jamf yet? Reading through their
document I am unsure what I need to do with the "Notification settings"
Do these require a restart to take effect? I created a new profile,
assigned it to my test Mac and when I tried to install Alertus I still
got the pop-ups asking to allow. Out of curiosity I removed Alertus,
rebooted, and re-ran the policy and it ran...
Ok so I could safely add all the Macs to PreStage Enrollment and
Automated Device Enrollment and not worry about anything happening until
the next time they are reset. And the nice part is all these devices
will just gradually enroll through PreStage...
We are currently running 10.28 and were waiting for the database backup
bug to be fixed before upgrading to 10.33. If we upgrade to 10.33 now
will the new server tools be included or are we going to need to install
those separately after the upgrade?
