Configuration profiles and .pref files

I am trying to deploy settings for a Wacom Intuos Pen Tablet via configuration profiles and am having some trouble because the settings are in .pref files as opposed to .plist files. I see that you can configure custom settings in configuration profiles with a .plist file, but it does not allow you to load in a .pref file. Currently we created a .dmg with the .pref files and dropping that down on startup but that is not how we would like to setup these settings. Does anyone know how preferences like this could be applied via configuration profiles?

@wlyke, Config profiles are basically Managed Preferences (MCX) delivered via a different method.

Both AFAIK will only deliver settings in a .plist format.

Best bet would be deploy as you are now, & speak to Wacom about following Apple's recommended format for setting files.
