Hi All,
I'm a newbie engineer and currently building a script to get the latest version of tableau.
I'm attempting to curl the latest version of tableau but when I get the installer link from their site I can only get a specific version.
Site: https://www.tableau.com/support/releases/desktop/2022.1#esdalt
curl https://downloads.tableau.com/esdalt/2022.1.0/TableauDesktop-2022-1-0.dmg
Does anyone know or have any best suggestions on how to get the latest version of a download if the vendor does not provide one?

It looks like autopkg recipes already exist for Tableau, might be worth setting up autopkg for pkg intake if you haven't already.

To follow up on that, it looks like there is a static URL that points to the latest download.
https://www.tableau.com/downloads/desktop/mac
You can give that a shot if you're wanting to build out your own automation.

Emily's suggestion is good, but you have the Installomator option too.

With this, you don't need to write your own automation anymore.

Might keep in mind Tableu doesn't yet support macOS Monterey, they have no ETA for when it will. #sigh
