End of Public Updates of Java SE 8

With the recent announcement from Oracle that updates to Java 8 will require a paid subscription, are there any plans from JAMF to support running the JamfSoftware server from a newer version of Java which can be supported for free?

OpenJDK is free and is supported for the JSS. I seem to remember them saying something at JNUC they're working on adding support for newer versions of Java as well, I would assume both OpenJDK and the paid Java SE since Jamf already supports OpenJDK.

Although OpenJDK is supported on the *Nixes, where does that leave the Windows deployments of JAMF?
