I'm no JAMF expert, I'm just an ITSM manager responsible for tracking our inventory. So please excuse any wrong use of terms.
We've been enrolling our mobile devices through user-initiated enrollment. Devices are confirmed enrolled and we then have a scheduled import of the devices into our CMDB.
What we've experienced is devices being "dropped" from JAMF. We know they were at one time enrolled because there is a CI entry in our CMDB. Having to get the user to then re-enroll is difficult as some of our users are "in the field" and don't use our network for extended periods of time. Along that same line, we believe devices are being dropped that are "inactive" (not check in) for periods of time.
Is there a set/default inactive period that would cause this to happen? and Is there a fix/setting that we're missing or is this normal behavior?
