Final Cut Studio 3 and Lion 10.7.4

I know that there are SEVERAL topics out there already, and I've read all that I can find, but I still can't get Final Cut Studio to package correctly.

I have tried doing both the Normal Snapshot and the New and Modified Snapshot when installing from the Media. I've deleted the ProApps and the Final Cut Studio System ID.

When I do either of the Snapshots, it only pulls in a handful of the .apps files. It's like it gets so far and just stops. It doesn't even pull in the Final Cut Pro.app file.

So then I tried using the Manifest. It pull in all the files, but when I actually deploy it (I've tried both PKG and DMG), none of the apps will open, "Cannot be opened because of a problem."

I used the steps found here:
http://afp548.com/mediawiki/index.php/Final_Cut_Studio_3_and_Munki

and combined all my Media into 4 DMGs to make the install go easier. I"ve tried it with the entire suite with everything (which is what we need for our lab) and I"ve tried just the core programs, and have had zero success.

I experimented a bit with having it run a .sh script and install it that way, but I couldn't figure out how to license and register it.

We will be installing this on about 30 computers, so I really don't want to go around and touch each machine.

So if someone has some advice for me or something else I could try, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Daniel,
If you don't have a large number it is easy to just copy the F-C-P app into the app folder. (I had to download from iTunes) then first time a user clicks on the app it does it first run thing and works.
You can do a before after snapshot of putting the file in the app folder I guess. I didn't come across any registration screen and the purchase details didn't provide me with a key to insert if thre was.

Thanks for the response, but it sounds like you may be referring to Final Cut X??

Ok, so now I tried including Final Cut Studio in my base install. It works... except the licensing part. Could someone fill me in on what I need to do to make the Volume Licensing work so that I don't have to enter it in on each machine? I made my image from one machine, and then overwrote it and another machine. FCS works fine on the original machine, but when I open on the other machine, it prompts for the license. Oh, and the original machine still prompts me to register.

Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Doh! Apparently, we have multiple licenses, and I was using a single user license instead of the Volume license. All is good now.
