I downloaded @joe.farage awesome Chrome Update script but it started failing the last few months. It was pushing them fine but the installed version stayed the same. Then I discovered that the app started growing in size.
Turns out that Google stores a dir inside the main package called versions and the script stores the updates in there. No idea why they do this and also how to activate the latest version.
Anyone got any suggestions? Users are complaining and I resorted in packaging up Chrome and pushing it like that but would prefer the script.
