Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their server to Capser 6.0 and have
noted any issues.
I have not taken the leap yet.

I have done it. For the most part its a good upgrade. The whole suite
seems to work much better with 10.5 clients than 5.13 did. No more having
to try twice to run a task from casper. My only problem was a bug
discovered that kept JSS from connecting to my distribution points (file
shares). Apparently you can't have an underscore in the password that you
use for your AFP accounts. Jamf is looking into it.
Other than that, its a polished interface and overall seems solid.

I can agree with Chad's comments on what I've been able to check out thus far.
I wouldn't be afraid of it. =)

So is 6.0 officially released?

On my test server it appears to be working fine. I get some problems with
javalang errors, but that maybe a problem with my database. Couple Legacy
RAM Values entries are "n/a" or "
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "java.lang.Numbe"
probably some old OS 9 computer entries that I haven't cleared out yet
GSX isn't working for me, but it might be my GSX account level or
something. Working with Apple and JAMF to figure that out.
I'm excited for Self-Service and more reliable connections when hit with
lots of connections at the same time.
Have not tested Casper Imaging or Remote yet.

After reading Zachs email I am not sure if it is released to everyone just yet. I have already used it a bit and so far I like it.

It's working great in our sandbox right now. We haven't gone 'live' with it yet, but it appears to be working well so far. I'm liking the integrations and the interface clean-up is nice. We plan on getting through the bulk of our pre-stage and re-imaging (about 1400 computers) in the next couple weeks before upgrading. Casper 6 seems to be solid code as we've run it through its paces, but I'm just keeping the number of variables down until the big imaging is done. I plan on being on 6 in a couple weeks though on a new leopard server.
