I have some systems that are locking up after a few weeks due to a suspected memory leak in an application (thinking McAfee). I'm trying to find a utility i can install that will track cpu and memory utilization over time and output to a file. For example, list any process over 100mb, every 30 seconds, and maybe email me if something goes over 1.5gb.
Activity Monitor is only going to show me what's happening currently. That's only helpful if i want to watch all my servers 24 hours a day. Does anyone know of a utility that can do something along these lines? Worst case, I'm guessing this could be scripted in bash or something to append to a log file over time.
Thanks
