How to Add a system app to self service on iOS?

I am able to add the Apple clock app to self service, but because I cannot assign a license to it, it won’t download on the managed iPads.

I tried “buying” licenses from Apple School Manager, but I can’t get licenses for a system app.

Out of curiosity, why are you trying to add them as a download? The device will have it installed by default.

If you have a configuration profile installed on the device that restricts apps to "Only some apps allowed", you'll need to add the clock app to the whitelist.

@Bol Look at the wording for this question and the one in your link from weeks ago. Different user accounts but the wording and punctation are identical. Both accounts only have the one post. Only difference is the other post had a link for a 3rd party app store... 🤔

@Nicholaus  Usually when people are asking this it's due to a user deleting the system app and they can't find a way to restore the app again.
