Just had a jumpstart last week and we created a base 10.9.4 image and it deploys perfect of course. I created a 10.6.8 image using the documentation and from what i though were instructions, but the software mounts the drive, performs block check and finishes, all with seconds. Never installs the 10gb Image i created. I created the package of this DMG and a configuration as well. Any advice or direction is greatly appreciated. i have searched the forums and jamf nation but most docs are on 10.7 and above. Is this perhaps this issue? won't deploy 10.6 images?

Did you create the image using Composer or via another method? If Composer was used, you DON'T want the "Item is a DMG with an OS X Installer" box checked in Casper Admin.
Let us know your workflow and we should be able to help you figure it out. 10.6 shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you. I did create it via composer. I have also tried adding it via casper admin. And problem persists. I have been told to check the permissions issue of my CasperShare folder. Here are the folder permissions as well as the DMG permissions. Also i have checked the options in Casper Admin and that checkbox is unchecked. We have also created a net install of Casper Imaging. Same problem happens there as well. Goes thru everything including the baseOS and still does not lay the image. On net install the 10.9.4 does not work as well.

Update:
So I used the same configuration that the jumpstart guide created for us here when he came down a couple of weeks ago. Just switched the baseos 10.9.4 package that he created with the one I just created and it worked, So i know i am creating the images properly, i think (i still have yet to try with the snow leopard os package that i created), but my configurations must be off. I can't see any differences when i look at them. so here is my work flow.
Got the all the settings and software on the computer i will be imaging. Put it onto target mode
Connect via firewire
open Composer on the other computer
select new>build os>select the hdd i am going to image
let it build.
add it to JSS via casper admin(i have done the web interface)
create the configuration in the web interface. add the package to the con figuration.
open casper admin
select the configuration
select erase target drive
