Inability to Search via Asset Tag

New to Jamf. This past week, I have been logging inventory. I designate an inventory number to the asset tag and name the item after the employee it is assigned to. This way, I can search via employee or inventory number / asset tag.

Unfortunately, I am now only able to search via name of employee. It seems as though my search inquiries are not going against asset tags as well.

I have full permissions. My coworker and supervisor has the desired functionality and outcome whereas I do not. We're scratching our heads.

Please advise.

Are your Search Preferences set to contains or exact match?

I believe it is open. Where should I look?

You can use asterisks for wildcards.

To set the permanent Search Preferences click on the icon of the head at the top right of your screen (in Jamf), choose Account Preferences, then Search Preferences. You can change Exact to Contains.

If you're doing a blank search first and filtering it afterwards the asset tag field needs to be checked under Inventory Display in your settings.
