So,
I just got my new image made with instaDMG and when I drop it into Casper Admin and check the box that says it is an OS installer it just hangs. I did use a drop in DVD for 10.5, does that matter? Going to get dual layer disks in a minute and burn a copy of my 10.5.0 retail DVD image I have on this mac and see if that makes a difference.
thx

You don't need to check the box. Just drop the image into Casper Admin, set
it to a priority of 1 and add it to a config.

Well, as of 5 minutes ago I tested out my 10.5.8 pristine install via instaDMG and Casper 7. I built the image in InstaDMG and used the instaup2date script to create a vanilla OS X 10.5.8 image. Tossed that into Casper admin and added my packages like: iLife 09, Office 2004, some edu apps, firefox, etc.
It seems to have not installed Java 6. That is the only package it skipped over, anyone know why? Well, to be honest I am happy I am only missing one update now. No idea why it skipped out on Java 6 though and Apple's online documentation on their updates is horrible, it doesn't tell me if this is an additional patch to java 6 or java 6 by itself.
Just thought I'd let everyone know it works the way I did it. I used my asr scripts too, so everything seems good to go.
FYI, have a good weekend too
