Installing Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard on OS X 10.10.5

All,

I am attempting to install Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard on an iMac Intel (27-inch, Late 2012) running OS X 10.10.5. When installing the suit from Self Service, I receive the error below. It's worth noting that this package has been well-tested. Additionally, the CS5.5 package also failed to install when the contents were saved locally and the installer was run from the machine itself. This would rule out an issue with Self Service.

I am guessing that CS 5.5 is not supported on OS X 10.10.5 but wanted to verify with others.

It appears that issue was with the Fusion Drive on the iMac and NOT with Adobe CS5.5 Design Standard. Installing Java 6 as well certainly does not hurt either!

To properly re-image the Fusion Drive on the machine, we had to manually the HDD and SSD/flash storage from Terminal and create the volumes.

Please refer to the following post for step-by-step details.

Have you installed Java for OS X 2015-001? This may be the culprit of the issue.. If you haven't installed it, here's the link here.. This may help.. https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=en_US

i really don't think it is compatible any more. i had issues installing the latest version of creative cloud that i packaged at the start of the year. how ever when i repackaged everything it worked and this was for 10.10.5 you can try and run the package through command line. that can work... i.e. open and explore the package contents and run the install script under sudo so you would type sudo then drag the script to the terminal window and run it see if that works.

@JustDeWon

I'm pulling hair over this same issue on an iMac without a fusion drive. Are you saying a device not having Java 6 could encounter this?

Edit I'm trying to install Creative Cloud. Even installing the only Creative Cloud desktop app produces this same error.
