Installing/Deploying Adobe CS 5 - what's the latest?

I'm just looking for the most current information about installing and deploying Adobe CS5. Most of the KB posts and articles are a few years old at this point. In the past I have just installed it as part of my base OS image, but not this time.

We have Adobe CS5, installing on brand new (July, '13) iMacs running 10.8.4, using casper suite 8.71.

I'm only doing this to ~30 machines in a lab setting, so I *can* touch every machine, or run scripts etc. willy nilly. Does that make installation any easier, or allow me to tackle in steps? I don't need a fully automated 'solution' for self-help or anything like that.

What I'm looking for is to understand the differences between installing Adobe and a 'normal' casper package, and/or telling me what parts of this I really need to pay attention to:

or this:

Do I have to run the Adobe installer? Would capturing a package with snapshot or monitor system changes work? etc.

I would use AAMEE to create the installation package. Be sure to exclude Adobe AIR from the deployment process and choose to ignore conflicting processes.

Bear in mind that you will still need to install things like Adobe AIR, Adobe Help, etc. It may be easiest to snapshot these items, as some of the previous workarounds (http://managingosx.wordpress.com/2010/09/03/updating-adobe-help-for-cs5/) are a bit problematic with later AIR and OS releases...

Also, is your JSS on an SMB share? If it is, you may need to take the AAMEE-packaged installer and create a DMG for it (simply copying the .pkg to an SMB share likely slightly corrupts it)...
