Anyone else notice Apple just tossed a curve ball at us?
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1589 <-- 9.4.0 requires 10.7.5 or 10.8.2
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1598 <-- 9.4.1 requires 10.7.5 or 10.8.2
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1608 <-- 9.4.2 requires 10.7.5 or 10.8.2
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1650 <-- 9.4.3 requires 10.7.5 or 10.8.3
Glad we noticed it, now we need to keep 9.4.2 and 9.4.3 on the server. :(
Time to brush up on our policy scoping. ;)

Don, thanks for catching this. Your note prompted me to set the option for the package to "Install only if SWU reports the package as available". This seems safer than scoping it by OS version, since scoping to the dot level (10.8.3) might require more maintenance. Reasonable approach? Any gotchas?

@nateburt Hi Nate, yea, for 9.4.3 the scope needs to include 10.7.5 or later, and/or 10.8.3 or later.
My forehead is flat from banging my head against my desk last night, our packaging workflow includes RTFM and thorough testing. I was light on the RTFM and heavy on the testing. LOL
