Is it possible to DM another member?

I was reading a topic earlier and a solution from another member fought my eye.

Is it possible to DM for more information a member?

I don't think it's possible to direct message a user here. If you put the "@" symbol in front of their user name in the message, (if they've got email notifications turned on) they'll get an email indicating someone has mentioned them in comments.
