iTunes - 4GB File Limit on Mac (but not on Windows)?

I've created a *.mv4 file by combining to LOTR DVDs into one movie for iTunes/Apple TV2 and the resulting file is 4.3GB. I used HandBrake to encode the file (and had 'Large File Size' option checked). The resulting file plays fine with VLC and/or QuickTime, but when I try to add it to my iTunes library on MacBook Pro, I drag (or File Add) it to iTunes and 'nothing' happens. No failure dialog, no prompt...nothing. iTunes just ignores it. If I try to add the same file to iTunes installed on a test Windows 7 machine, it adds and plays fine in iTunes there. Any idea on how to make iTunes on my MacBook Pro (my proper iTunes library) accept this file?

I am not sure that your questions is appropriate for JAMF Nation.

Making copies of Lord of The Rings for playback in iTunes falls outside of the scope of this support group.

Have you posted your question on Apple's support discussions site?

Thanks. I'll post somewhere else. I'm still trying to find the scope of what JAMF Nation is for. I'll probably have a few other questions and see if they fit in (not iTunes related...just Mac general :))

I've posted my question here in case anyone ends up here looking for solution.

I believe you're confusing this JAMF Nation distribution list and forum with a general information Mac OS X forum. JAMF Nation is dedicated to discussing use and administration of JAMF software and services.
