JSS Access: User Accounts..

Anyone out there in a University environment??

I'd like your thought s on User Account access to the JSS etc.

For Example:
Infrastructure Admin: Me
Campus Teams

I want to implement a Quality Control System, Whereby, before being uploaded to live, Tests would be carried out on our Dev System before going Live.

What's your Setup??

I've found that Dev is good for experimenting - what works, etc. But when building a group of policies/smart groups/EAs, etc, it needs to be done in prod. Because if you build it in Dev, you still need to build it again in prod (and thus tested before deployment).

I've found scoping to be the best QA tool. I add an exclusion of production systems to my policies, then remove those exclusions as I'm deploying to everyone.

Just be careful with any EA scripts - no way to scope them to only some users.
