Managing a small Windows environment

Hello all,

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone has had a similar issue managing a small environment of Windows machines. We are a 95 percent Mac and 5 percent Windows shop. The Windows amount could possibly grow.

We currently use JAMF heavily to manage the Macs but it is a manual process for Windows. I would need something to at least enforce passwords, screen lock policies, disc encryption, and updates.

For imaging you should check out Microsoft MDT (Microsoft Deployment Tool) or depending on how many systems 5% actually means SCCM.

Do you have AD? The settings you refer to above can be controlled by GPO (Group Policy Object) otherwise you could control those settings with powershell script during imaging.

I would think that InTune would be a better fit for this use-case than SCCM.
