netinstall creator, 10.5.8 & ARD

I've a 10.5.8 bootable Os with ard set to the local user & i can remote fine..

But when I create a Netinstall of the os, it boots fine.. But we can't then ard onto it..

Is this normal?

How are you creating the netinstall image?

I have the same problem. Built the base images (10.5.8 and 10.6.3) with ARD enabled, used the Casper Netinstall Creator from resource kit, and don't seem them when booted up from netboot when scanning the subnet with ARD.

Ben,

If you are making a NetInstall Set, ARD settings are not carried over.
If ARD is a function you need to use, you'll need to create a Netboot
image, as this will allow ARD to retain its settings..

Been down that path before when we had setup netInstall sets.. In our
environment, we only briefly used a NetInstall set before switching back
to Netboot for this same reason.

Hi

On this same issue, do any of you lot use bluetooth when Casper imaging, JAMF say there is not known way to enable bluetooth while netbooting with Casper Imaging, which means you cant use a bluetooth mouse of keyboard when imaging which is an issue when all new macs come with these by default
