NetInstalls for new, out-of-the-box systems?

Not applicable

We're just getting ready for our Jump Start with JAMF next week and putting
together a lab of a couple of dozen new Intel iMacs. We're having trouble
with the NetBoot process. We have had the image on the Casper server and a
local distribution point. But when we NetBoot, Casper seems to want image
the NetBoot image and not the target machine.

Adding to mix of issues is that we're on a variety of VLANs and the server
and workstations will almost never be on the same subnet. The distribution
point will generally be on the same subnet as the target workstations,
however. We had some successful pre-Casper tests simply using the basic
Bombich tools (including NetBoot Across Subnets) but have been stumbling in
our efforts to get Casper to do the same thing. It's highly unlikely that we
will be able to get the network group to implement BDSP. They're still
trying to track down some possible issues with IGMP that have all but
crippled many of our Ghost deployments.

As I mentioned in a previous post, we're just getting started with Casper
and I've been lurking here for a while. If anything, my newbie questions may
be a source of comic relief for the list.

Thanks,
Ric
