I've thought about this for quite some time now and it's not a big deal but would anyone else benefit from having the option to fill the root account when you fill existing users?? Also, I think that the fix ByHost files should fix the root ByHost files, yes? Regarding the first question, I wouldn't be opposed to having it just fill automatically when the FEU option is selected, although sometimes I don't want those prefs in the root account. So, maybe an additional option (check box) to fill the root home folder.

I would not want FEU to mess with root by default. I consider not enabling
root to be a best practice.
If you have compelling reasons to enable root, you could add duplicates of
the files that go to /Users/username to /private/var/root in your package.

Or just build those specific packages logged in as the root account....then it will copy /var/root to /users

I would prefer to not have any information fill the root template. I have always been of the mindset to avoid enabling the root user whenever possible and if you must use it, do whatever you need to do as root and then get out. Personally, I think I would be confused if I were the root user environment and it began to look like the other default user environments on the computer.
