The following feature is new in the Casper Suite v8.61: Support for iOS 6. The Casper Suite includes support for iOS 6. New and updated payloads for iOS configuration profiles. The JSS includes App Lock and Global HTTP Proxy payloads for iOS configuration profiles. In addition, the Restrictions payload includes the following new settings: Allow iBookstore, Allow adult content in iBookstore, Allow shared Photo Stream, Allow iMessage, Allow Passbook while locked, and Allow installation of certificates or unmanaged configuration profiles.

I don't understand why Apple doesn't allow MDM providers to set all the settings that are under restrictions locally on the device. How much longer do we need to manually set items like block deleting of apps on every device.

Sorry, but does the restrictions payload of "Allow iMessage" mean that iMessage is not allowed by default? We would love to be able to block the Messages app in school.

Can the new restrictions be used on any managed iPad? I thought I read that some of them are only available to iPads that are supervised.
edit: installed it myself and saw which settings require supervision.
