Hello all,
I just got a new MacBook Pro with Lion OS and I want to run my JAMF Pre-stage image with 10.6.8 and of course it will not net boot to the image. Since this hardware is has not dramatically changed I didn't think that it would be a big deal. What have you done to go back to the previous OS and then image the newer laptops? BTW I just did a new Mac Pro desktop and it worked fine.
Thanks

Make sure to have a Thunderbolt or later Snow Leopard NetBoot image and configuration for machines that come pre-loaded with Lion. I've been doing this since Lion was released without an issue on MBP and iMac.

You should still be able to install 10.6.8 on MBPs, but I have not gotten one in since Lion released. Have you tried building the base OS (10.6) on this machine. If the OS had been built on older hardware it probably wouldn't work.
